What students should know about college loans!
College Loan debt has reached $1 billion in the U.S. In Ohio more than 14% of college students are in default.
OACCS is the professional association of Ohio’s 100+ colleges and schools that provide career-focused education. You may already know us as providers of the Legislative Scholarship Program, offering more than $1.1 million in tuition aid annually. To address the student debt crisis, OACCS is launching a statewide initiative – called $martStart – to educate your students and prospective students about responsible borrowing.
There are many resources available to educate potential college students about the challenges of taking out loans for college or post-secondary skill training. The sites listed below are good places to start.
