The annual meeting of the Ohio Association of Career Colleges and Schools is scheduled in conjunction with the Teacher/Placement Workshop on:

Annual Meeting: The major item of business at the annual meeting will be the election of new members of the Board of Directors. Each year the Association replaces three members of the Board (see Nominating Committee letter Aug 8, 2011).
The Nominating Committee has recommended the following persons be placed on the ballot for three - 3 year terms:

The OACCS Constitution allows for further nominations from the floor “….at the time of the Election Meeting provided that notice of the intention to propose additional nominations from the floor is given to the (Association) Secretary ten (10) days prior to the date of the election.”

OACCS Awards
The Distinguished Alumni Award is given to someone who has graduated from your school (no time limit) and has been successful in the workplace as well as making contributions to the community and/or your school. The winner will not only receive a plaque at our meeting, but also, the Association will donate $500 to the school to be used for a special scholarship for a current, deserving student. See the enclosed Alumnus Nomination Form.

Outstanding Placement Director Award: This honor is given to the Placement Director nominated by his/her Chief Campus Administrator for outstanding performance in placing and counseling students. See the enclosed nomination form. Deadline: October 21, 2011. Nomination form
Master Teacher Award: This award is presented to the teacher you select based upon your own criteria. We would hope that the teacher would be present to receive the award. Use the enclosed nomination form and submit by Deadline: October 21, 2011. Nomination form
